Craigslist Founder Launches $100,000 Social Giving Competition

What I think I’m going to do with this Tumblr account is to post the top stories I see. So today’s is this one about Craig Newmark’s non-profit project that will give $100K to the non-profit with the most donors rather than most raised.

Especially for the non-profits, building community should really be the focus of any campaign as it’s shouldn’t be about funding first… it should be about the people that are being served and the people that you are inspiring. 

Starting Tumblr…

I think this is going to be a slight learning curve. But figured I really should take the time and get to know this platform with the buzz it’s been getting (and the fact that the kids are getting on it).

It’s a really nice interface and simple to post. I like it.

Now just have to think of how I can use it and how to build audience.
